Job summary

Plaza Healthcare in Scottsdale is seeking a Unit Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse) to lead an 80-bed facility and ensure high-quality clinical operations. You will report to the Chief Clinical Officer and guide a dedicated team toward compassionate care, regulatory compliance, and ongoing quality initiatives.

The role requires a B.S. in Nursing, Arizona RN licensure, and at least two years of leadership in long-term care, including ventilator and trach experience, plus BLS and a Fingerprint

Qualifications

• A BSN is required and RN licensure in Arizona is necessary.
• Two years of direct patient care experience, including leadership roles in long-term care.
• Ventilator and trach experience is expected.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical service administration and support nursing staff.
• Plan and direct the nursing service department, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain nursing policies, procedures, and reference materials for daily operations.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident care teams for holistic care.
• Provide oversight of an 80-bed unit and participate in regulatory surveys.
• Foster a culture of quality improvement and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Maintain a respectful, professional environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Implement emergency procedures as necessary.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

• B.S. in Nursing (Registered Nurse)

EXPERIENCE:

• At least two years of experience in direct patient care, including leadership roles in long-term care
• Ventilator and trach experience

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona
• Current BLS certification
• Must maintain licensure and have a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
