Job summary

Washburn House in Worcester, MA is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care in a behavioral health setting.

The ADON collaborates with the Director of Nursing to manage daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support staff with education, scheduling, and patient care planning. RN licensure and at least 2 years of clinical experience are required, with behavioral health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license per state law.
• Minimum 2 years' RN experience; behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve pending issues from the previous shift, e.g., labs or treatments.
• Coordinate the daily scheduling of units per approved census-based ratios.
• Coordinate the Vivitrol program as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient care needs.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines and standards.
• May function as Director of Nursing in their absence or by directive.
