UCP Long Island seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing across OPWDD-certified residential programs in Commack, NY. You will guide a diverse nursing team and coordinate quality and compliance efforts, reporting to the executive leadership.

The position is full-time and on-site, with competitive compensation. The role requires NYS RN licensure and a BSN or MSN in Nursing, plus 5+ years of leadership experience and strong collaboration skills.OPWDD experience is strongly

• NYS RN license is required.

• OPWDD experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Develop nursing objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and improve the Nursing Quality Assurance Plan.
• Maintain compliance with care standards and regulations.
• Implement OPWDD regulations and IRA/ICF standards.
• Participate in management meetings and team conferences.
• Provide healthcare consultation and emergency nursing coverage.

Established organization is seeking a dedicated nursing leader to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing for our OPWDD-certified residential programs, coordinating and overseeing nursing practices across our agency.

Your Impact

• Develop nursing objectives, policies, and procedures
• Establish and improve our Nursing Quality Assurance Plan
• Maintain compliance with care standards and regulations
• Implement ICF and IRA regulations
• Participate in management meetings and team conferences
• Provide healthcare consultation and emergency nursing coverage

Leadership Role

You’ll guide a team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Supervisors, and AMAP staff, fostering a culture of excellence through mentoring, collaboration, and accountability.

Qualifications

• NYS Registered Nurse license
• BSN or Master's degree in Nursing
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• OPWDD experience strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits
