Job summary

Southern Oaks Post Acute is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in directing both licensed and non-licensed staff providing 24/7 care. The role emphasizes staff development, policy implementation, and ensuring high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates will have a BSN preferred, licensure in good standing, and 3–5 years of nurse management experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; participate in appraisals and disciplinary actions.
