Job summary

Cayuga Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead resident care in our skilled nursing facility. You will direct licensed and non-licensed clinical staff and collaborate with staff, physicians and management on nursing issues and policy interpretation.

The role maintains infection control and performance improvement activities for Nursing Services and participates in QAPI initiatives, with Infection Control Certification required.

Qualifications

• Infection Control Certification required or obtainable.
• Minimum 1–2 years of management experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Directs resident care in skilled nursing and manages clinical staff.
• Consults with staff, physicians and management on nursing issues.
• Ensures policies and procedures meet resident needs and supports QAPI activities.

Job description

The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for direction of resident care in the skilled nursing setting. Manages licensed and non-licensed clinical staff. Consults with staff, physicians, and management team on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure resident needs are met.Maintains policies and procedures specific to infection control and performance improvement activities for Nursing Services and participates in QAPI activities.

Required to have or obtain Infection Control Certification.

Minimum of 1-2 years management experience in a long term care facility.
