Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Las Vegas, NV seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing operations and advance clinical practices. You will mentor leaders, shape policies, and collaborate with CNO and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care and outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active Nevada RN license, a BSN preferred, and at least 3 years of progressive nursing leadership, with psychiatric nursing experience. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Nevada required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum one year of direct psychiatric nursing experience required.
• Minimum three years of progressive nursing leadership experience, ideally in behavioral healthcare settings.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in nursing care.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• A passion for mentoring and developing nursing talent.
• Ability to stabilize acute psychotic and non-violent crises by using accepted intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Mentor and coach nursing supervisors and staff, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care plans and outcomes.
• Monitor staffing levels, manage scheduling, and support recruitment and retention efforts.
• Lead initiatives to improve patient satisfaction scores and clinical performance metrics.
• Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to optimize care delivery.

• Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing leadership experience, ideally in behavioral healthcare settings

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
• A passion for mentoring and developing nursing talent
• Ability to stabilize acute psychotic and non-violent crisis' by using accepted intervention techniques
