Job summary

Delaware Bay Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Georgetown, AL, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will supervise nursing services, coordinate care plans, mentor staff, and support regulatory compliance while acting as Director in their absence. This full-time day position offers competitive salary ($90,000-$110,000) and benefits including health, retirement, PTO, and on-demand pay.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in coordinating and supervising nursing services to ensure high-quality care is delivered to all residents.
• Conduct and monitor daily rounds to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Oversee care planning, staff assignments, and resident assessments.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship as needed.
• Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures that align with facility goals and standards.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including care plans, incident reports, and training records.
• Participate in regulatory surveys and ensure facility compliance with safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, budgeting for nursing department needs, and resource allocation.
• Act as Director of Nursing in their absence and provide 24-hour on-call support when necessary.
