Job summary

Western Hills Retirement Village is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical excellence and lead the nursing team in a fast-paced environment. The role offers leadership opportunities, mentorship, and competitive benefits.

Pay rate ranges from $80,000 to $95,000 annually. The ADON will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active Ohio RN or LPN license and CPR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations of the nursing department.
• Supervise and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Support development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
• Monitor quality of care and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to staff, including care planning and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure resident-centered care.
• Promote a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.

Your Role as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

What We're Looking For:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
