Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

The position requires an RN with a current license and a Nursing Degree, plus at least two years of supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care setting. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of nursing department.
• Ensure that reference material maintained at the nurse’s station is current. Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• RN with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Must have, as a minimum, 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
