Job summary

Rydal Park, a premier HumanGood Life Plan Community in Jenkintown, PA, is hiring a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our Skilled Nursing Team.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with flexible, rotating on-call weekends. Salary: $110,000–$125,000 per year.

Ideal candidates will hold an RN license (BS degree preferred) and have at least one year of management experience and strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BS degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of management experience
• Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
• Strong leadership and staff mentoring abilities
• Excellent customer service and computer skills for documentation and EHR use
• Current CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Make daily rounds and ensure appropriate nursing care is provided
• Interact with residents, families, and staff to provide guidance
• Direct admissions and discharges; coordinate with other living units
• Supervise and mentor clinical and unit staff; address team concerns
• Maintain essential policies and procedures
• Process Medicare and insurance forms; communicate status to families
• Participate in QAPI and OBRA meetings; attend team and resident review meetings
• Perform other essential duties as required

Rydal Park, a premier HumanGood Life Plan Community located in Jenkintown, PA, is hiring a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our Skilled Nursing Team.

Schedule:

$110,000 - $125,000 per year

Key duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• Making daily rounds observing residents and ensuring staffing levels meet residents' needs; ensuring all appropriate and necessary nursing care is provided.
• Interacting with residents and families/responsible parties and staff; answering questions, providing direction and support.
• Directing admissions and discharges; coordinating with assisted living and independent living staff when necessary.
• Supervising and mentoring clinical and unit management staff; acting on team member problems and requirements.
• Maintaining or establishing essential policies and procedures.
• Processing Medicare and insurance forms; directing Medicare A approval and denials; keeping families/responsible parties informed of status.
• Participating in QAPI and OBRA meetings, attending interdisciplinary team and resident review meetings.
• Performing other related essential duties as required.

What you need to be successful in this job:

• Current RN license; BS Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience
• Minimum of 1-year management experience in related field
• Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
• Visible/strong leadership skills, i.e., is confident and comfortable leading, guiding, mentoring, building/maintaining staff teamwork, and holding staff accountable; sees challenges as opportunities
• Excellent customer service acumen and computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members
• Current CPR certification
