Valley View Care Center in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to co-manage the 24-hour operation and advocate for residents. You will hire, guide and evaluate the nursing staff, ensuring delivery of quality care and a positive healing environment.

The role emphasizes leadership in nursing management, staff development, and adherence to care standards while promoting exceptional customer service and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) and knowledge in nursing management.
• Current RN license in Michigan; CPR certification.
• 3+ years of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families and visitors.
• Supervise the nursing team, including directing assignments, training, recognition and evaluations.
• Assess residents to determine condition and ensure nursing care is delivered as directed.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assist with planning and supervising the twenty-four-hour operation of the facility to ensure the delivery of quality resident care. This position acts as a resident advocate by managing resident care as well as hiring, guiding, developing, and evaluating your nursing team.

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, and a superior level of knowledge in nursing management in order to manage resident care, and manage large and diverse groups of nursing personnel.
• Current license to practice as an RN in Michigan; current CPR certification
• 3+ years of experience in a long term care facility
• Clinical knowledge of long term care nursing, with ability to anticipate, recognize, and respond to resident needs in a long term care and rehabilitation environment.
