Job summary

NexCare WellBridge Senior Living in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to help plan and supervise the 24-hour operation and ensure quality resident care. The role acts as a resident advocate, manages staff, and focuses on hiring, guiding, developing, and evaluating the nursing team.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in Michigan, CPR certification, and 3+ years in a long-term care setting, with a commitment to delivering excellent, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Current Michigan RN license and CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and supervising the 24-hour operation to ensure quality resident care.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assist with planning and supervising the twenty-four-hour operation of the facility to ensure the delivery of quality resident care. This position acts as a resident advocate by managing resident care as well as hiring, guiding, developing, and evaluating your nursing team.

• You will supervise the nursing team including giving direction & assignments, offering training, and deliver recognition and evaluations.

• You will implement standards of nursing practice through the formulation of policies and procedures, and direct the maintenance of required department records.

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, and a superior level of knowledge in nursing management in order to manage resident care, and manage large and diverse groups of nursing personnel.
• Current license to practice as an RN in Michigan; current CPR certification
• 3+ years of experience in a long term care facility
• Clinical knowledge of long term care nursing, with ability to anticipate, recognize, and respond to resident needs in a long term care and rehabilitation environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
