The Diplomat Beach Resort, Curio by Hilton (https://www.diplomatresort.com/) is looking to welcome an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join the team!

This stunning 1000 room oceanfront resort is the perfect getaway with two beachside pools, a Dip & Slide splash pad for kids, and 1,000 linear feet of alabaster beach. Savor stunning views, delicious dining options, and endless sunshine in Hollywood, Florida. Our housekeeping team consists of 150 team members which all report to the Director of Housekeeping.

The ideal candidate holds 2 years of experience in a similar role. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work the required shifts.

Shift Pattern: Full flexibility (AM/PM/OVERNIGHTS) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

What will I be doing?

1. Assist the Director in ensuring cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms in accordance with federal, local and company health, sanitation and safety standards.
2. Plan, distribute, delegate and direct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work assignments.
3. Inspect public areas and guest rooms to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
4. Assist the Director in the administration of systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
5. Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
6. Recruit, interview and train team members.
7. Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
