Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa seeks an Assistant Director of Finance to lead daily accounting operations at our Austin luxury resort. The role supervises accounts payable/receivable, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting, partnering with the Controller to drive accuracy and financial controls.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of accounting management in hospitality, hotel experience, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of accounting management experience in hospitality.
• Experience as an Assistant Director of Finance in a hotel is highly preferred.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Monitor daily tax reconciliations and ensure complete month-end close.
• Produce accurate financial statements and assist with inter-company reconciliations.

The Assistant Director of Finance job is to supervise, monitor and review daily accounting activities including daily account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, research, credit and collection, daily taxes, payroll, cash, and the monitoring of operations systems and procedures and control features.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for complete training of hourly staff for job duties.
• Responsible for complete training of direct reports for job duties.
• Coordinate all on site accounting functions with the Controller. Act as liaison for all property daily accounting requests.
• Ensure a smooth Accounts Payable process.
• Ensure completion of daily tax reconciliations.
• Assist in attaining financial goals.
• Partner with Credit Manager to ensure the timely billing of all direct bill accounts with complete backup and accurate invoices.
• Ensure maintenance of all daily filing of documents needed for research requests from guest and in-house users.
• Ensure all guest disputes and requests for clarification is resolved and/or responded to in a timely manner.
• Ensure an effective tracking system for all rebates/adjustments.
• Work closely with all departments to come up with solutions to Systems & Controls problems.
• Ensure daily balance of Income Audit to Daily Report.
• Complete all Daily Ledger reconciliations.
• Ensure a timely daily close.
• Assist with a timely month-end close.
• Produce accurate financial statements on the daily books.
• Prepare inter-company reconciliation and solve disputes.
• Ensure that daily cash management functions - check balances, reconcile accounts, cash violation forms are prepared properly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit.
• Complete other tasks and projects requested by Controller and DOF.

Qualifications

• Must have 4-5 years of accounting management experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Director of Finance in a hotel highly preferred.
• Large resort experience preferred.
• Must be flexible and able to work some weekends and holidays.
• College degree highly preferred but not required, preferrable in Accounting or Finance.
