Job summary

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX, seeks a Fitness Desk Attendant for full-time on-site work. You will greet members, register guests, and support class scheduling using Mindbody while handling guest fees and maintaining accurate records.

This role requires pro activity, excellent phone etiquette, and the ability to perform light physical duties in a luxury resort setting, including assisting with lounge and fitness area operations.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience and training in a similar hotel/resort/guest service role.
• Computer experience and MICROS experience preferred.
• Excellent phone skills required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet members by name and assist front-desk check-in.
• Register members/guests by name and ensure correct billing and gender preference.
• Know and schedule Group Exercise classes in Mindbody; manage guest fees.
• Restock fruits, condiments, and coffee in the member lounge; keep areas tidy.
• Record issues in the log at shift start and communicate with supervisors.
• Open/close checklists and confirm hours for Fitness, Spa, Kid's Club, and pools.

Responsibilities

• Know and greet members by name.
• Registering member/guests by last name first, first name last and always get proper billing information, requests and gender preference.
• Knowledge of Group Exercise class schedule, register members and guests for Group Exercise classes in Mindbody, run Guest and Member guest fees.

Restock/maintain fruit, condiments, and coffee in member lounge. Keep clean and organized.

• Assist in keeping all Fitness storage space clean and organized.
• Review communication log book at the start of each shift. Record information regarding member/guest issues, housekeeping, engineering, pools, hot tubs and steam rooms to shift supervisor/manager.
• Complete and initial all opening and closing checklist and turn into shift supervisor/manager.
• Know current hours of operation for the following areas: Fitness, Spa Salon, Kid's Club, Spa Shop, Coffee Market, Aquatics, Tennis and Pool Cabana.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience and training in similar position in the hotel/resort/guest service industry.
• Helpful to have some computer experience as well as MICROS experience.
• Must have excellent phone skills.
• The Associate is often required to stand, walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Ability modertate weight.
