Job summary

Mountain Mastery Management Inc manages Manor Vail Lodge and is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering in Vail, Colorado. This hands-on leadership role supervises the Engineering department, oversees preventive maintenance and capital projects, and acts as the department head in the director's absence.

A base salary of $80,000–$95,000 per year is offered, with up to 10% annual bonus potential and opportunities for after-hours emergencies and capital planning involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC/electrical/plumbing trade training preferred.
• Minimum two years of engineering or maintenance experience in hotel, resort, or luxury property.
• Supervisory or lead technician experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain CPO within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team's daily operations, staff, and budget.
• Direct, train, schedule, and supervise Engineering staff.
• Resolve guest and owner maintenance requests promptly.
• Identify deficiencies and complete work orders.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for MEP and life safety equipment.
• Operate EMS and building automation systems.
• Assist in preparing annual operating and capital budgets.
• Manage contractor and vendor relationships.
• Lead emergency response and after-hours incidents.
• Plan project and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure work order documentation and billing accuracy.
• Oversee Golden Peak building maintenance.
• Maintain OSHA and local code compliance.
