Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas, seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead the engineering team, oversee maintenance of guestrooms, public areas, and safety systems, and report to the Director of Engineering.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing, plus strong leadership, safety training, and capital project execution to deliver Hyatt's standard of care.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising hotel/resort maintenance.
• Proficient in Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs for guestrooms, public areas and safety systems.
• Oversee all building mechanical systems including building automation, energy and water management.
• Manage capital projects and inventory for engineering.
• Recruit and develop Engineering staff while aligning with Hyatt’s culture of care.
