Job summary

Noble House Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering at the San Diego Mission Bay Resort. You will work closely with the Director of Engineering to drive upgrades, lead a skilled team across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and maintain an 18-acre resort with guest-centric service.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes an 80/20 field/office split, deep technical knowledge, and a commitment to guest experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive technical knowledge across HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Hands-on leadership style with field work
• Strong organizational and administrative skills for scheduling, purchasing, and work orders.
• Experience recruiting, training, and motivating a diverse engineering team

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive Preventive Maintenance programs and respond to guest and staff service needs.
• Recruit, train, develop, and motivate a diverse engineering team (HVAC techs, plumbers, electricians, etc.).
• Support and advance the resort’s Green Initiative to reduce environmental impact.
• Elevate property condition, safety, and guest experience through detail and teamwork.
• Foster a positive, high-energy work environment balancing professionalism with fun.
