Job summary

Black Rocket Productions LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Education & Enrichment Programs to lead nationwide summer enrichment initiatives and ensure high customer satisfaction. The role requires managing teachers, scheduling classes, and supervising programs with a strong focus on STEM education.

The candidate will work at Black Rocket headquarters in Freehold, NJ two days per week and may travel for program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Five years of experience with at least two in supervision/management.
  • Experience in education, Ed Tech, or youth enrichment fields.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and train teachers; schedule classes; provide site visits.
  • Develop, administer, and operate nationwide summer enrichment programs.
  • Support sales or curriculum teams in the off-season.
  • Manage budgets and department P/L; supervise educators and staff.
  • Coordinate customer relations and ensure satisfaction goals.

Assistant Director of Education & Enrichment Programs

Summary

Black Rocket is looking for a dynamic leader to join our team! TheAssistant Director’s primary role is to ensure high levels of customersatisfaction in all of Black Rocket’s enrichment and educationprograms. These programs include courses across multiple STEMdomains, with a focus on technology. This position requires someonewith the ability and experience to effectively manage people andprojects in a variety of areas. Some out of state travel is required.The Assistant Director is required to be at Black Rocket headquartersin Freehold, New Jersey two days per week.

The Position

As the Assistant Director, you will play a key role in ensuring thatour customer satisfaction and quality goals are met. You will be partof the team that is responsible for the development, administration,and operation of nationwide summer enrichment programs.Responsibilities include recruiting and training of teachers,scheduling of classes, and providing customer support with sitevisits. The role calls for a diverse set of skills in recruiting,customer relations, and planning.

In the off season, the Assistant Director may support either thesales or curriculum development teams.

The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter who takes ownership oftheir work, while incorporating feedback from key stakeholders. THeybring a flexible, can-do attitude to shifting priorities and naturallylook for creative solutions when obstacles arise. Candidates may befrom a field in Education, such as K-12, Ed Tech, or Youth Enrichment,or similar industry.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience, with atlast two of those years in a supervisory or management position.

Experience in the areas below:

Strategic planning

Project management and tactical execution of goals

Staff training

Business development or sales

Teacher recruitment, scheduling, and supervision

Online learning

Experience managing educators, technology, and business staff

Ability to work in a team with shared responsibilities and objectives

Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbalcommunication skills

Customer oriented philosophy and customer service

Strong presentation skills for conferences, workshops, and webinars

High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint or comparableGoogle programs

Understanding and responsibility for budgets and department P/L

Additional Qualifications:

Additional Educational Certifications, such as Supervisor orSchool Leader Experience with summer camp enrichment or youthprograms a plus!

Proficiency with database systems and their basic functions(Examples would be CRM, ATS, scheduling software, accountingsoftware, etc.)

Experience with online learning management systems

Knowledge of curriculum development theory and best practices

Ability to seek and write Grants or RFPs

Pay based on experience: $67,000 - $80,000 annual base pay withadditional pay for profit sharing bonuses
