Entry-level management focused on supporting specific program orproject areas. Responsibilities: Executes day-to-day operationswithin the assigned area, contributes to strategic planningefforts, and assists with project oversight to meet immediateorganizational needs. Job Description
The Assistant Director of Class Engagement plays a critical role infostering strong connections between alumni and the College. Thisposition is responsible for managing class-based volunteer programsand leading milestone Reunion fundraising campaigns to drive alumniparticipation and philanthropic support. The Assistant Directorworks closely with staff colleagues and volunteers to inspiremeaningful engagement, cultivate a culture of philanthropy, andachieve participation and revenue goals that support the College'scomprehensive campaign.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and support alumni class volunteers, with a particular focus on class chairs and Reunion committees. Oversee15-20 non-Reunion classes and three milestone classes.
- Provide strategic guidance, resources, and ongoingcommunication to empower volunteers to promote participation andengagement to their classmates. Support class programming andevents.
- Design and execute annual Reunion fundraising strategies forselect milestone classes. In coordination with Leadership AnnualGiving, identify volunteer leadership, recruit committee members,manage timelines and communications for Reunion gift committees toensure successful outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of class engagement and annualgiving strategies aligned with institutional goals.
- Serve as the Class Engagement team lead on the College'stexting platform in order to drive participation and engagementacross the division.
- Monitor progress toward class participation and Reunionfundraising benchmarks; prepare regular reports on outcomes.Utilize advancement databases and digital tools to track volunteeractivity, participation rates, and donor engagement.
- Serve as the Class Engagement team lead for Class Communicationtemplates.
- Stay informed about best practices in alumni engagement andapply innovative approaches to volunteer management and classfundraising.
- Other duties as assigned or necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, with a strong understanding of andcommitment to the mission of the College and the value of a liberalarts education.
- Two years of successful advancement, fundraising, or relatedtransferable experience preferred/required.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engageeffectively with a diverse range of constituents, colleagues,volunteers, and community members.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with theability to manage multiple priorities, meet goals and deadlines,and work independently.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonalskills, with the ability to inspire colleagues and motivatevolunteers.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, professionalism, anddiscretion when handling confidential and sensitiveinformation.
- Positive, approachable, and collaborative demeanor, with theability to represent the College professionally and build strongrelationships with internal and external constituents.
- Willingness and availability to work occasional evenings andweekends, as required by the needs of the position.
- Valid driver's license required.

Salary Range:
The Assistant Director of Class Engagementoffers a salary range of $57,000-$60,000, commensurate witheducation and experience
