Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Rehabilitation Counseling, Community Mental Health Counseling, Counselor Education, or closely related field.
• At least 2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must obtain and maintain professional certification or licensure (CRC, LAC) within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student interviews to initiate accommodations and eligibility determinations.
• Facilitates timely implementation of academic accommodations.
• Provides academic guidance to identified students with disabilities.
• Guides access to alternative format textbooks and assistive technology.
• Collaborates with faculty to ensure accessibility of digital media and instructional materials.
• Maintains records of student contacts and decisions in compliance with laws.
• Represents the department at campus and community meetings and with stakeholders.
