Job summary

Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Admission. You will supervise admission specialists, coordinate patient access, and work with medical staff, referring agencies, and payers to ensure timely and compliant admissions.

You will assist with hiring, staff development, scheduling, clinical case consultation, and process improvement to optimize the patient intake and admissions workflow.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Healthcare field required.
• LSW/LCSW and LPC required; PA RN license preferred.
• Prior 3–5 years of experience with a psychiatric/behavioral health population.
• Experience supervising a professional/clinical team and staffing/budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Supervise admission specialists and oversee patient access to care.
• Coordinate hospital admissions, referrals and crisis intervention.
• Interface with medical staff, payers, and external referring agencies.
• Assist with hiring, staff supervision, and day-to-day admissions workflow.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and data entry/management within Admissions.
