Bucknell University is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions to manage recruitment, enrollment and territory responsibilities in alignment with our enrollment goals. Responsibilities

  • Oversee key enrollment initiatives, program budgets, and project development to advance enrollment strategy.
  • Serve as Counselor of the Day, conduct group presentations, and meet with visitors on campus.
  • Support daily office operations and collaborate with colleagues on recruitment and admissions workflows.

Position Title:Assistant Director of AdmissionsPosition Type:Full timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Categories:Staff ExemptJob Summary:The Assistant Director of Admissions is a key member of the Office of Admissions team who independently manages recruitment, enrollment and territory responsibilities to support the University's strategic enrollment goals. This position requires strong professional judgment to plan and execute recruitment strategies, participate in application review, and engage with stakeholders. The Assistant Director leads and coordinates mid-level projects and initiatives, analyzes enrollment trends and outcomes and serves as a collaborative resource for colleagues on recruitment and operational matters.Job Duties:Reporting Relationships:This role will report to the Associate Dean of Admissions, Campus Visits & CommunicationsWork Schedule:This is a full-time role (40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)Some evening and weekend work will be required, so the Assistant Director must be committed to working flexible hours to meet office needsWork Setting:This is an on campus positionWhat You Will Do:Manage territory, including all recruiting and yield activities, within designated geographic areas. This includes essential travel to participate in high school visits, college fairs and recruitment events as well as communication with a wide spectrum of constituencies including (but not limited to) prospective students, families, school counselors and community-based organizations.Conduct ongoing prospect management with potential Bucknell applicants and contribute to the holistic review and evaluation of applications.
