MDH Med Care Prgms - Ofc Medicaid Prgms/Operations seeks an Assistant Director for Nursing & Waiver Services to lead four divisions within the Office of Long-Term Services and Supports. The role oversees federal compliance, supervises division chiefs, and coordinates services for dually-enrolled Medicaid participants.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and substantial experience in health/human services, Medicaid programs, and leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years professional health/human services experience.
• 2+ years experience with Medicaid programs and 3+ years supervisory/managerial experience.
• Experience leading Medicaid long-term services, home and community-based services, waiver programs, or complex healthcare programs.
• Knowledge of federal Medicaid requirements including HCBS waiver authorities, HCBS Settings Rule, and Medicaid program integrity standards.
• Experience supervising managers and leading multidisciplinary teams for policy development, program operations, clinical review, and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate with executive leadership, federal partners, providers, advocates, and stakeholders on complex operational and policy issues.

The Assistant Director for Nursing & Waiver Services leads the operations of four divisions within the Office of Long-Term Services and Supports: Provider Integrity/Claims/Compliance, Clinical Support, Participant Enrollment/Service Review, and Nursing Services. This management position oversees $613 million in annual Medicaid expenditures, supervises division chiefs, manages federal compliance activities, and coordinates services for dually-enrolled Medicaid participants. The role reports to the Deputy Director and operates on a hybrid telework schedule.

Key qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with 6 years professional health/human services experience
• 2+ years experience working with Medicaid programs and 3+ years supervisory/managerial experience
