Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro seeks an Assistant Director to lead Your First Year (YFY) program development, marketing, execution, and assessment. This role oversees departmental marketing/communications and supports SOAR and other new student initiatives.

The role supervises graduate and undergraduate staff, oversees the creative content team, and represents the department at campus events while participating in ROI evaluation and improvement planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education administration or related field, or relevant undergrad degree with experience.
• 1+ year in university settings with student success/new student programming.
• Experience planning and evaluating programs of varying sizes.
• Experience managing funds and creating budgets.
• Ability to develop and present to diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Your First Year (YFY) program development, marketing, execution and assessment.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students and coordinate the content team.
• Manage departmental marketing and communications and support SOAR, orientation, and new student events.
• Represent the department at university events and serve on campus committees.
• Manage funds and evaluate ROI, with improvement planning.
