Job summary

University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the Assistant Director of Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction within the Student Success team. This leadership role drives campus-wide learning support services, including tutoring and embedded support, with a focus on retention, progression, and completion.

The role supervises a diverse team and partners with faculty to ensure services align with student needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by US DOE/CHEA.
• At least three (3) years of documented higher education experience in a relevant area.
• 1–3 years of managing temporary and/or full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for campus-wide learning support services.
• Lead assessment efforts including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and campus partners to align services with student needs.
• Monitor staffing and budget; supervise a team including coordinators, graduate assistants, and student staff.
• Identify opportunities to expand learning support services and promote program effectiveness.
