Job summary

Lipscomb University is seeking an Assistant Director to lead Intercultural Development and Commuter Services, advancing belonging and student success for commuter, affinity-group, and international populations.

You will report to the Director of the Office of Intercultural Development, oversee commuter engagement, advise student leaders, and serve as a DSO during peak enrollment to ensure compliance and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Requires faith-based alignment with Lipscomb University's Christ-centered mission.
• Experience in student engagement and programming is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and programs with strong organization.
• Proven ability to work with diverse student populations and campus partners.
• Experience in advising student groups or councils is desirable.
• DSO knowledge is not required but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead commuter student engagement and retention initiatives.
• Advise and mentor commuter student leaders and affinity groups.
• Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and manage SEVIS records during peak periods.
• Collaborate with Student Engagement, International Student Services and admissions to coordinate support.
• Develop multi-channel communication strategies for commuter, affinity groups, and international students.
• Assist in program assessment, data collection, and reporting to departmental goals.
• Support mission-driven campus initiatives and staff development.
