Knox College seeks an Assistant Director of Intercultural Life to coordinate inclusive student programming and advise cultural organizations, with responsibility for international student initiatives and cultural houses on campus.

The role is full-time, exempt, 12-month with some evenings, weekends and holidays. A live-on campus requirement and duty team on-call duties apply; strong collaboration across departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field; or Bachelor's with experience in higher education will be considered.
• Demonstrated commitment to developing and implementing cultural engagement, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Proven ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
• Coordinate inclusive student programming and advise cultural organizations; support cultural houses and international student initiatives.
• Assist with planning and facilitation of International Student Programs (IPOP, workshops, seminars, student check-ins).

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with related departments to create professional development and networking opportunities for historically underrepresented groups.
• Advise cultural student organizations on program planning, membership, and officer transitions.
• Provide programmatic support for cultural houses: ABLE, Harambee, Casa Latina, International House and Asian Cultural House.
• Provide intercultural life student peer educators.
• Assist with evening and weekend programming and some holidays as needed.
• Co-Chair of the College Day of Dialogue Committee.
• Assist with planning and facilitation of International Student Programs such as IPOP, workshops, seminars, and student check-ins.
• Serve as part of the campus-wide duty rotation and respond to after-hour emergencies.
• Other duties and committee appointments as assigned.
