The New York City Department of Social Services seeks an Assistant Director of the Human Services Unit to lead a team in processing and auditing payments, managing staff, and coordinating with external partners at HRA/DHS. The role focuses on maintaining accuracy and compliance across vouchers, contracts, and reporting.

Applicants should hold a relevant master's or bachelor's degree with supervisory experience.

Formación

• Master's degree with 18 months in supervisory/administrative capacity.
• Bachelor's degree with four years of professional experience including 18 months supervisory.
• Associate degree with six years of professional experience including supervisory exposure.
• High school diploma plus eight years of professional experience with supervisory exposure.
• Education/experience combination allowed with policy substitution.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Director with management of staff and internal/external requests.
• Supervise the DHS Payment Unit and train staff on vouchers and payment documents.
• Oversee Passport to align work assignments in the unit's queue.
• Perform QA of payments submitted through PASSPort or FMS and ensure accuracy.

Educación

Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, public administration or related field

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Associate degree or 60 college credits

High school diploma with eight years of full-time experience

Combination of education and experience with supervisory exposure
