Job summary

Brown University is seeking an Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Projects to oversee StarRez-driven housing processes, optimize occupancy, and support graduate and undergraduate selections. You will coordinate with the Residential Life team and campus partners to ensure seamless data flow between housing, billing, and systems.

The role emphasizes technical expertise in StarRez, data analysis, and process improvement, with a fixed-term end date and hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience in residential life, housing assignments, systems management, or other relevant fields.
Experience working with StarRez and/or other housing management systems.
Data management and analysis skills required.
Advanced administrative experience in StarRez (including Report Fuel, Dashboards, and Portal X) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee graduate housing processes in StarRez and ensure occupancy optimization.
Support housing lottery and assignment processes for 3,100+ students.
Provide technical backing for selection cycles and data integration.
Collaborate with Associate Director and other stakeholders on special housing needs.
Provide reporting and analysis on occupancy and trends.
