Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Director, Housing Assignments, Access, and Accommodations to oversee on-campus housing charges, room changes, and access systems across the academic year.

You will supervise the Assignments Coordinator and the Manager, Housing Accommodations and Customer Care, coordinate with Student Accounts, Canes Central, and Facilities, and train staff on StarRez and access control products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; 5-7 years preferred in college/university housing.
• Experience with StarRez housing management software and access systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee occupancy verification and room-change processes across the academic year.
• Provide frontline after-hours support and coordinate with IT and access systems.
• Lead staff training on StarRez, CS-Gold/ONITY, and related access control platforms.
• Collaborate with campus partners on billing, occupancy, and facility operations.
• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on workload, output, and process improvements.
