As a member of the central management team, the Assistant Director works collaboratively to support the strategic goals of the department. They are responsible for administration of university housing operations including but not limited to control and management of room inventory, assignments, meal plans, billing and the accuracy of data between student housing database and the university student information system (Banner). They coordinate and collaborate with Enrollment Services, Card Access, Athletics and Facilities in fulfillment of their duties. They also manage the Damage Billing system.
The Assistant Director assists with the management of associated vendor contracts. The Assistant Director develops and implements the marketing plan for the department including updates to web and social media, creating and modifying video and written publications.
The Assistant Director supervises the Housing Operations Coordinator who also oversees summer and conference housing. Oversee the supervision and execution of the Desk Assistant program. The Assistant Director also serves in the department's Central Staff on-call rotation.
