Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA seeks an Assistant Director of Food Services and Stores to oversee the storeroom and three campus kitchens. You will manage food prep, inventory, receiving, and distribution, while ensuring safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.

Lead staff, plan labor, and support the Director as needed. You will partner with the Nutritionist to align inventory with dietary needs, coordinate with cottages on orders, and support catering operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AAS or BS preferred in logistics, supply chain, hospitality, or business
• Five years in warehouse or multi-unit food service operations with at least two years supervisory experience
• ServSafe certification preferred (will support acquisition) and valid driver's license

Responsabilités

• Oversee Storeroom and kitchen operations on campus.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and reward staff; manage labor planning.
• Maintain equipment in storeroom and kitchens; ensure sanitation and safety.
• Manage ordering, receiving, distribution, and inventory control.
• Coordinate with Nutritionist on inventory for special diets and allergies.
• Collaborate with Director and cottage supervisors to ensure timely orders and catering setup.
