University of Dayton is seeking an Assistant Director, Financial Aid Service to lead and enhance financial aid delivery for undergraduate and graduate students. The role involves counseling students and families, reviewing FAFSA applications, and applying professional judgment to determine aid eligibility.

You will collaborate with Student Accounts, the Registrar, and campus partners to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and support financial literacy initiatives across the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR three years of experience in financial aid with progressive growth in responsibilities.
• At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills and ability to streamline processes.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Ability to provide leadership as a collaborative team member.

Responsabilités

• Provide financial aid service to University of Dayton students and counsel on financing their education.
• Review FAFSA applications and determine and adjust all types of financial assistance.
• Exercise professional judgment and support counselors in escalated conversations.
• Lead the administration of state financial aid programs and ensure accurate information shared with staff and students.
• Foster partnerships with Offices of Student Accounts, Registrar, Holistic Advisors, and campus partners to drive service improvements.
