Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking an Assistant Director for External Fellowships and Scholarly Development to join the Graduate School's professional development team. You will coordinate advising for national and international fellowships and expand structured support for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral applicants.

You will create programming and resources, conduct outreach to potential fellowship sponsors, assist nomination committees, and help scholars develop projects and proposals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in education setting or equivalent experience.
• Experience coordinating projects, programs, workshops, or events.
• Experience drafting communications for multiple audiences and reviewing materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the advising process for several awards and draft nomination materials.
• Promote external funding opportunities by hosting information sessions.
• Provide advising and strategy for applicant submissions and follow-up.
• Support faculty in selection committees and nomination processes.
• Track applicants and contribute to program assessment and reporting.
