Job summary

Hartford Public Schools seeks an Assistant Director of the Office of Enrollment & School Choice to lead operational oversight and strategic execution. You will translate priorities into clear systems, implement programs, oversee grants, and coordinate with RSCO and district offices to improve access and family experience.

The role emphasizes management of compliance, reporting readiness, and continuous improvement, with a focus on magnet and Open Choice initiatives and district partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in a relevant field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in enrollment, school operations, or related fields.
• Experience leading complex projects and coordinating across stakeholders.
• Knowledge of School Choice operations, grants, and public-sector environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Executive Lead/Director in setting priorities, operating plans, and accountability measures.
• Provide management oversight for OESC initiatives, ensuring deadlines and compliance.
• Develop SOPs, controls, and service protocols for core operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with RSCO, CSDE, Finance, HR, IT, and other districts.
• Lead or coordinate special projects and process improvements.
• Support enrollment and School Choice strategies to improve access and outcomes.
