Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3–5 years in employer relations, career services, customer success, or a related field.
  • Backgrounds in account management, client services, or recruiting coordination are welcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent relationships with consistent follow-through.
  • Strong organizational skills, consistent use of CRM tools, and familiarity with Handshake or similar platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams to drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Clear, professional communicator in writing, by phone, and in person.

Assistant Director, Employer Success

Hiring Range: $73,400 - $79,700

What You’ll Do
  • Employer Relationship Success (50%)
    • Serve as project manager and relationship steward for employer and alumni engagements, keeping logistics smooth, tracking current partners, and maintaining consistent follow‑up.
    • Help employers navigate the hiring process from start to finish, including drafting job and internship descriptions.
    • Proactively introduce the full range of engagement options to grow single conversations into lasting partnerships.
    • Articulate Brandeis’s student value proposition, including academics, international student talent, and the depth of liberal arts graduates.
    • Develop working knowledge of internship compliance and regulations around hiring Brandeis students, including international students.
  • Platform and Opportunity Management (35%)
    • Own Handshake from the employer side: aid partners in creating profiles, posting jobs and internships, and setting recruiting schedules.
    • Monitor active postings, manage applicant bundles, and re‑engage employers at key points in the recruiting calendar.
    • Use Handshake data to track student interest by industry and role, support contact identification, and inform outreach strategy.
    • Maintain up‑to‑date CRM records and coordinate with Career Services to provide timely applicant access.
    • Build and maintain employer‑facing resources, such as quick guides, FAQs, and hiring materials.
  • Professional Development and Operations (15%)
    • Participate in professional development activities related to employer relations and career services.
    • Share insights from employer interactions to inform strategy and outreach.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
