Job summary

Austin Peay State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Employer Engagement to strengthen partnerships, advance student career outcomes, and foster a student-centered, collaborative culture on campus.

In this role, you will lead outreach to employers, coordinate internships and大型 recruitment events, and supervise program activities with a focus on equity and inclusive career readiness. You will engage with alumni, faculty, students, and community partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Business, Communication, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in employer engagement, career services, recruiting, workforce development, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, cultivate, and sustain relationships with local, regional, and national employers and community partners to expand opportunities for APSU students and alumni.
• Coordinate employer outreach through meetings, presentations, campus visits, and events.
• Represent APSU at workforce development initiatives and networking opportunities to expand partnerships.
• Serve as primary contact for employers regarding recruitment activities and Handshake participation.
• Collaborate with campus partners to align opportunities with programs and workforce trends.
• Support employer onboarding and engagement activities through Handshake.
