Job summary

YWCA in El Paso is seeking a Branch Child Development Supervisor to oversee programs for children birth to 12 years, ensure safety, and support staff. You will model tasks, manage records, and assist with budgets while maintaining DFPS standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, bilingual capabilities, and the ability to work non-standard hours. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Must meet TDFPS director qualifications including high school or equivalent and one of the listed degree/credential options.
• Two years of related childcare experience required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; English reading/writing required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Be organized and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day programs, operations, facilities, staff and participants to ensure safety and development of children birth to 12 years.
• Train new and current staff to improve program quality and compliance.
• Model classroom tasks and maintain appropriate staff ratios.
• Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate, bilingual curriculum.
• Monitor nutrition and kitchen operations to meet USDA standards.
• Assist in preparing reports and handling records, budgets, and DFPS compliance.
