Job summary

Rollins College's Center for Career & Life Planning seeks an Assistant Director of Career Exploration to design, implement, and assess a portfolio of career exploration and experiential learning programs for students and alumni in a vibrant liberal arts environment.

The role focuses on mentoring, networking, career immersions, job shadowing, and partnerships with alumni, employers, and campus partners to enhance career readiness and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, human resources, organizational leadership, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized career advising to students and alumni across all phases of career development.
• Serve as the primary lead and resource for assigned Career Communities, staying current on industry trends, career pathways, recruiting practices, and the evolving impact of AI on careers and the workforce.
• Educate students, faculty, and staff by sharing career resources, industry insights, employment opportunities, and emerging trends related to assigned Career Communities.
• Strive to reach and positively impact every Rollins student throughout their college experience by providing personalized guidance and opportunities that support career development.
• Develop and facilitate career-related programs, workshops, networking events, and experiential opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, employers, alumni, and campus partners to advance student engagement and contribute to the broader Career Communities framework.
• Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate graduate assistants, student employees, and Relationship Managers supporting career exploration initiatives.
