Job summary

CAMBA, Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Assistant Director (Supervisor I) to oversee a youth program based at 1137 Herkimer St, Brooklyn. Reports to the Program Director and focuses on program quality, staff supervision, and contract compliance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least three years in a youth program, strong communication, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel. Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, social work, or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years’ experience in a youth program of comparable size.
• Good written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, social work, human services, or related field.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish or another language spoken in the community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures.
• Comply with all Federal, State, City, and CAMBA security and privacy policies.
• Ensure safety and security of all participants by following program protocols.
• Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on client progress.
• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day activities of direct reporting staff.
• Prepare contract reports and statistical information for CAMBA management and funder use.
