Job summary

Oakland University is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving to lead and coordinate a broad range of fundraising initiatives, including faculty, staff, retiree campaigns, and student involvement. You will manage a Leadership Annual Giving donor portfolio and support memorial bench procurement and Giving Day efforts.

The role requires strong organization, clear communication, and experience with industry-standard marketing technology.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree and at least two years in fundraising or philanthropy.
• Preferred: master’s degree and 3+ years in annual giving fundraising, data/project management, marketing plans.
• Experience with direct mail and giving programs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate the Oakland University Fund Drive and direct mail campaigns.
• Manage Parent Program and student giving initiatives; oversee senior class gifts.
• Oversee a Leadership Annual Giving donor portfolio and Giving Day activities.
• Handle specialized tasks such as memorial bench procurement and other operational duties.
