Job summary

University of Maryland seeks an Assistant Director of Development & Annual Giving to support the planning and execution of annual giving programs and donor engagement initiatives. You will coordinate campaigns, develop solicitation materials, and manage donor data while collaborating across development teams.

Qualifications

• Two years of fundraising, philanthropy, or donor relations experience.
• Experience coordinating campaigns and donor communications.
• Ability to analyze data and manage donor records.

Responsibilities

• Support a comprehensive annual giving calendar and plan for communication and solicitation activities within market segments identified as having growth potential.
• Help coordinate annual fund or alumni giving campaigns of prospective donors with goals for total dollars raised, participation, and new donors.
• Research current annual giving trends and report findings; make recommendations to improve operations.
• Assist with gift processing and day-to-day support, especially during peak donation periods; ensure coverage of phone and office needs.
• Respond to philanthropy inquiries and follow up on donor needs.
• Oversee data management, list pulls, and data cleanup before and after solicitations and activities.
• Participate in planning meetings and support ongoing programs and operations as needed.
