Job summary

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is seeking an Assistant Director of Development & Annual Giving to support annual giving and alumni engagement efforts. The role partners with the Executive Director of Development to coordinate campaigns, prepare solicitation materials, and manage donor data to drive fundraising growth.

You will contribute to campaign support, perform data analysis, assist with gift processing, and collaborate across development operations to strengthen annual giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years of fundraising, philanthropy, or donor relations experience.
• Experience with annual giving or alumni programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support annual giving calendar and communication/solicitation activities.
• Coordinate annual fund/alumni campaigns and donor outreach.
• Research annual giving trends and prepare recommendations.
• Assist with gift processing and donor inquiries during peak times.
• Oversee data management, lists and data clean-up before/after solicitations.
• Participate in planning meetings and support ongoing programs.
