Our 403b retirement savings plan includes a generous match.The Assistant Director of Admissions Systems and User Experience Design serves as an administrator for two distinct instances of the Slate CRM: one undergraduate and one graduate. The role bridges technical systems management with strategic enrollment marketing, allocating equal focus to CRM optimization and user experience (UX) design to support admissions goals. Additionally, this role configures and maintains key system workflows, designs intuitive student portals, and supports admissions marketing automations. By leveraging data analytics, tracking mechanisms, and closely collaborating with the Enrollment Marketing team, this role ensures all digital interfaces are optimized and aligned with the university's brand. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in building intuitive end-user interfaces, designing and implementing portals and other database entities that support the prospective student and applicant experiences, and the continuous improvement of enrollment technology solutions.The hiring range for this position is $65.4k - $78k.**Responsibilities:****Database Management and CRM Optimization*** Leverage Slate to help meet business needs, serving as a database systems administrator across the undergraduate and graduate instances.* Provide technical support, training, and expertise for Slate forms, application processing, electronic communication functions, portals, event management, admissions reader configuration, and other technical workflows.* Develop, modify, and maintain queries and reports in Slate to enable admissions and enrollment staff to efficiently perform their responsibilities.**User Experience Design and Enrollment Marketing*** Design, build, and maintain interactive prospective student and applicant portals utilizing user experience (UX) best practices to ensure intuitive, accessible, and engaging interfaces.* Implement and monitor tracking mechanisms including UTM parameters, Slate Ping, and Google Analytics to analyze user behavior, informing data-driven design improvements.* Audit and update all student-facing interfaces to ensure adherence to ADA and WCAG web accessibility standards.* Collaborate closely with the Enrollment Marketing team to ensure all CRM-generated pages seamlessly align with the institution's visual identity and brand.* Create and configure forms and events in Slate, along with their respective communication flows.* Add complex liquid markup and content blocks to email communications in collaborating with the Enrollment Marketing team.**Workflow and Systems Administration*** Perform ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and configurations to ensure reliable workflows within the CRM environment.* Conduct functional system testing of new or modified business systems, ensuring that they function as intending while meeting desired business requirements.* Automate routine tasks and streamline manual operations to increase efficiency and reduce errors.**Training and Documentation*** Develop and deliver Slate training modules and onboarding materials, ensuring end-users across EM and across the university are fully equipped to utilize the CRM effectively.* Maintain documentation for admissions systems, ensuring consistent and effective use of tools and technology.**Work and Experience:*** Education: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.* Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience.**Job Requirements:*** Experience with Slate, including queries, reports, configurable joins, form building, liquid markup, workflows, and portals.* Demonstrated knowledge of relational database management.* SQL and HTML/CSS required.* Experience with JavaScript and XML preferred.# **Pay Range Disclosure**The University's pay ranges represent a good faith estimate of what Brandeis reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting.
