Job summary

Ohio Northern University College of Law seeks an Assistant Director of Academic Success. The 12-month, non-tenure-track appointment includes instructor status and reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to coordinate the Academic Success Program (ASP).

The role focuses on designing strategies to help students with essay writing, reading comprehension, issue spotting, and legal analysis, and on supporting at-risk students through instruction and ASP sessions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Minimum of more than one year of prior experience in academic support.
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement strategies to support student learning, writing, reading, issue spotting, and legal analysis.
• Lead at-risk student support through individual instruction and ASP sessions.
• Coordinate orientation and January-term academic support for first-year students.
• Hire, train, and supervise ASP teaching assistants.
• Evaluate data on student performance and report on ASP effectiveness.
