Job summary

Learning Care in Topeka, Kansas is seeking an Assistant Director with a strong background in early childhood education to lead and mentor teachers while partnering with the Center Director to ensure high-quality care and compliance. No prior Assistant Director experience is required, just a solid foundation and a passion for growth.

Key duties include supporting classrooms, managing daily operations, and fostering a positive culture for staff, children, and families.

• Ability to rotate opening and closing responsibilities and support school needs.

Responsibilities

Learning Care is growing our presence in the Topeka community, and we’re looking for an Assistant Director who is ready to grow with us.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Teacher or Mentor Teacher who loves developing others and is ready to move into a formal leadership role. Previous Assistant Director experience is not required—we’re looking for a strong foundation in early childhood education, demonstrated leadership, and someone excited to continue learning.

What you’ll do:

• Flexibility to rotate opening and closing responsibilities and support the needs of the school
