Job summary

La Petite Academy in Shelby, NC seeks an Assistant Director to help lead a safe, nurturing environment for children, in partnership with the School Director. In the director's absence, you will have sole responsibility for daily operations and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed childcare facility, are 21 or older, and meet NC education and credential requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Associates in ECE or related field is preferred.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.
• Must have the North Carolina level 1, 2, or 3 credential.

Job description

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
