The Goddard School located at: 11450 S. Pine Drive Parker, CO 80134 is seeking a motivated, self-starter for an Assistant Director position to oversee daily operations, support the Executive Director, ensure licensing compliance, and foster positive relationships with families and the community.

This role involves staff management, program development and implementing our Wonder of Learning curriculum to spark curiosity and inspire high-quality early education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching in early childhood education.
• At least 1 year of experience on the administrative team at a large childcare center.
• Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass state background checks and meet licensing requirements.

The Assistant Director will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the school, ensuring the highest standards of education and care. This role involves supporting the Executive Director in managing staff, maintaining compliance with licensing requirements and fostering positive relationships with families and the community.

Assistant Director Key Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the School
• Staff Management: Support the recruitment, training, development and supervision of staff
• Curriculum and Program Development: Assist in the implementation of our proprietary Wonder of Learning program*, designed to spark curiosity, support individual growth and inspire a lifelong love of learning
• Family and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with families
• Health and Safety: Conduct regular safety drills, maintain emergency preparedness and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment

Qualifications

• Preferred - Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience teaching in early childhood education
• Required - At least 1 year of experience working at a large childcare center on the administrative team
• Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices, team leadership and classroom management
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• A genuine love for children and commitment to providing high-quality education
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements

Pay is negotiable based on experience and tenure in the childcare industry.
