Tapestry Senior Living of Moon Township in Moon Township, PA is seeking an Assistant Dining Services Director to lead daily dining operations, plan menus, manage purchasing, and supervise staff.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, Safe Serve, 2+ years in senior living food service management, and a compassionate, service‑oriented approach to residents. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

• Safe Serve Certification required; 2+ years of food service management experience in Senior Living.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food production, menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, portion control, and budget tracking.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, train, coach, and develop dining services staff.
• Create positive dining experiences by addressing resident concerns and supporting events.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance in dining areas and service operations.
• Maintain records, monitor expenses, coordinate equipment maintenance, and support community objectives.
• Provide hands-on support with dining service operations as needed (taking orders, serving residents, assisting guests).
• Monitor staffing levels and labor utilization; advise on operational and financial goals.
• Foster collaborative, positive team culture with accountability and professional growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in overseeing food production, menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, portion control, and budget tracking.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance development of dining services team members.

What You’ll Need:

• Must be at least 18years old
• High school diploma or GED, required
• Culinary or Hospitality degree, preferred
• Safe Serve Certification, required2+ years of food service management experience in Senior Living, required
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to stand for a long period of time
• Compassionate, ethical, and friendly demeanor when working with residents, families, and team members
